Unitrade Management Services (UMS) is a progressive, innovative and excellence-driven voluntary trading organisation
that was started in September 2001, with the aim of providing a unique and comprehensive business solution to independent
wholesalers and retailers. Our business model provides all the benefits of a total franchise offer,including a comprehensive
range of products and services, but without the associated costs.
The Unitrade offer allows the independent trader to compete
effectively in all areas with the corporate chains without losing their unique identities in the communities they serve,
while benefiting from the power of an established brand. In addition, by combining the buying power of the strongest independent
traders in Southern Africa, our members receive the best deals to give them the edge over any competitor.
Unitrade has in excess
of 150 members across South and Southern Africa and the secret to our combined success can be summed up in one word: PARTNERSHIPS.

customer interaction between listed suppliers and UMS members going through one point of contact, ensuring efficiency for both suppliers and members.

Our member stores, known by the brands Powertrade, Food Town and Best Buy, are positioned to cater for primarily the lower income consumer,
as well as to owners of smaller superettes and trading stores who in turn sell to the lower end consumer. They are community-focused and offer
